Regrets

Most individuals believe that “they’ve made it” when they have a certain dollar amount in their bank account, have their dream home and are rolling through town in a Lambo.  They work every single day of their life to buy the toys that equate, in their minds, as success achieved.  All the while, they are sacrificing relationships especially with spouses, children, parents, friends and even themselves.  There is a moment when you look back and see all that you’ve accomplished but still feel an indescribable emptiness inside.  How could this be?  You have everything you ever wanted!  Or do you?

I’ve never heard of anyone on their death bed say “I wish I would have worked more” or “bought more stuff” or “had more toys”.  Everyone at this wise stage in life wishes that they would have had better relationships, enjoyed the simple things in life, not sweated the small stuff and taken better care of themselves and their health.

If you want to be ultra successful in life, you need to find a balance in the game of life.  Some of the most successful people I know, function from a place of purpose and lead a life that is true to their core values.  Have you ever taken the time to find out what your core values are and what your unique purpose in life is?

Here’s one way to determine your core values.  I learned this from one of my mentors, Jack Canfield.  Ask yourself this one simple question, “If I was on a sinking ship and all I could take were 5 things (not material things), what would that be?  If you’re not sure what core values are, you can use my BFF Google.

Examples:  bravery, spirituality, certainty, joy, leadership, intuitiveness, wealth, health, etc.

It is probably one of the most powerful and enlightening exercises you can do. Once you figure that out, you can operate your life congruently with your values and you will watch a beautiful life unfold.  It simply cuts out all the distractions that are useless to you and your life purpose.

Your life purpose is simply what you think about all day.  What gets you up in the morning and gives you juice all day long?  I’m not talking about bright shiny objects!  I want you to get out of your head and into your heart.  What would you absolutely love to do?  What kind of legacy do you want to leave?  What kind of impact do you want to leave in this world?

I dare you to invest your time in doing this exercise.  Don’t be that wise old fool on that on his/her unforgiving death bed, is full of regrets.

The sooner you figure it out, the sooner you can start MANIFESTING YOUR EPIC LIFE!
